Dr. Rachna Arora

Dr. Rachna Arora is a dedicated psychologist, author, blogger, and the visionary founder of Your Counselling Corner, a dedicated space for empowering women and promoting mental health awareness and holistic well-being. With over 15 years of extensive experience in women’s issues, she has been instrumental in helping women of all ages address their psychological, emotional, and relational challenges. Her expertise enables women to take control of their lives, achieving both mental and physical well-being.

Holding an MA, M.Phil., and Ph.D. in Psychology, Dr. Rachna Arora began her career as a counselor with an NGO and dealt with family and relationship issues. She also served as a counselor at PGIMER, Chandigarh, earning the Best Counselor award, and she has also served as a mental health expert on multiple online platforms. In 2016, she co-founded thehappywomen.com, an online magazine aimed at empowering, motivating, and inspiring women. As the co-author of the book ‘Indian Women and The Shaadi Conundrum’, she guides navigating pre and post-marital challenges. Currently based in Singapore, she offers a wide range of services via her online platform, including, webinars, online workshops, and relaxation sessions, to promote mental health. She also provides online counseling and therapy services to clients in her home country India. She assists clients with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, stress, anger, self-acceptance, insecurity, life transitions, and conflicts related to premarital, marital, and parenting concerns. 

Her practice is dedicated to guiding young girls and women in cultivating self-love, self-compassion, and self-acceptance, and helping them heal, grow, build self-worth, and reconnect with their true selves, enabling them to lead more confident, authentic, and fulfilling lives. She takes immense satisfaction in helping women assert themselves and understand their needs and preferences so they become truly empowered.

Believing that cultural expectations significantly influence women’s behavior and relationships, she helps women achieve balance and control over their lives by considering these cultural aspects. She emphasizes that healthy relationships and self-awareness are essential for mental and physical well-being, guiding women to develop positive relationships with others and themselves.

Her counseling approach is rooted in the belief that clients are their own experts. Her role is to, facilitate and support their journey through life’s difficulties and challenges. She develops a strong, respectful, non-judgmental, and authentic relationship with her clients, providing a safe space for them to explore their feelings and circumstances openly.  Informed by a variety of modalities, she adapts her counseling services based on the client’s needs and issues.

She strives to create a comfortable environment where clients can reflect, connect with their inner selves, and build healthy self-awareness.  Her goal is to empower clients to be assertive and confident, ready to face life’s challenges.
