It’s unfortunate that even in today’s time women are still struggling to empower themselves. Women constantly battle with the issues of gender discrimination, inequality, and stereotypes which deeply impact the psyche of women in general and eventually hinder their personal growth and progress in life. Often women find it difficult to voice out their opinions and expectations in personal as well as professional life. Women often struggle hard to prove their worth to society and always find themselves fighting for their own individual identity.
I think every woman needs to realize her own worth and understand that she is valuable and she does not need to prove her worth. She needs to take control of her life and awaken the empowered woman that already exists within her.
Stop proving your worth to others and start loving and nurture yourself. Believe in yourself and do not let others walk over you or take advantage of you.

Be your authentic self
Respect yourself for who you are and do not change yourself in order to be liked or accepted by people. Let others see you as your true-self and do not try to paint a different picture for others. Be your authentic self and speak your mind. Do not suppress your desires, dreams and wishes to be accepted by others.
You are a human being first and it’s very natural that you have emotions and you have flaws too, you are vulnerable and you have many imperfections. Embrace yourself for who you are and do not try to fit into any predefined image that is set by society. You do not even need to prove yourself to everyone else. Break yourself free from the societal conditioning and limiting self-belief patterns that make difficult for you to see your true beauty and power.
When you find yourself trapped between your own inner voice and what society tells you is right for you, always walk on the path that makes you feel right, as this is the only path leads to true happiness. Be always true to yourself.
The people who are right for you will always love and appreciate you for your authentic self. So be patient and keep being your amazing self. Try to ignore the expectations and comparisons that people throw at you. You do not need to compete with anyone and the only person you need to be better than is the person you were yesterday. Do not seek validation from others
Do not seek approval and acceptance from others for your worth. Do not succumb to the pressure of unreasonable demands of any kind. Seeking approval and acceptance from others will only make you feel helpless, sad, angry and unhappy and you will not be able to live life to the fullest. Care less about who you are to others and more about who you are to yourself. Stop seeking validation from others as this will save you from disappointments.
Do not focus on pleasing others
You must understand that you cannot please each and everyone, so stop focussing on proving your worth to others. To put everyone else needs before your’s every time will make you feel over-committed and you will feel more anxious and upset. This way you will end up depleting your energy and find yourself depressed from overdoing it.
So, refrain yourself from indulging in pleasing others. Whenever you find it difficult to say no to others, just remind yourself that it is not your duty to fufill the needs of everyone around you. Please remember that it is not your responsibility to make everyone happy all the time.
Take charge of your life
It’s your life and no one else knows what is best for you. Be realistic and do not expect from others to understand you. Take the charge of your life, you are capable of making choices so be confident to follow your dreams without the fear of being judged by others.
Do not let the opinions of others distract you, it is your life and you don’t need to worry about what other people think.
Be confident, take the steps that you feel are right for you and walk on your chosen path confidently. Don’t be afraid of failures or mistakes, take them as your learning experience eventually they will only make you strong and powerful.
Speak up for yourself
If you want to be heard then there is no other way than to speak up. Rediscover the powerful being that resides within. Believe in yourself and voice out your opinions and express yourself. Find the courage to speak for your rights and do not be afraid to speak your truth even if your voice trembles. Be it in your personal life or professional life speaking up for yourself will bring the change for you and for other women. Let your voice be heard to create awareness and eventually people will hear the message.
Nurture and care for yourself
In general, women always put themselves last, because women are always caring for those around them. If you are also one such woman, you need to understand that by neglecting your own mental and physical well-being you will end up tired, stressed out, and emotionally exhausted. So it is always good to think about your own needs and take good care of yourself so that you can stay more in control, balanced, healthy and well. It’s good to devote some time for your self-care as it will really make a huge positive difference in your life.
Looking after yourself and putting yourself first enables you to meet the needs of others more effectively. Moreover, it’s ok to prioritize your needs first if you are sick, totally exhausted, feeling overworked.
Engage in activities that nourish you and help you to maintain your overall mental and physical well-being. Keep your passion alive and take time out for doing things that make you feel happy. Connect with a good friend, read a good book, allow yourself me time and sit quietly for few minutes and hours, buy yourself a beautiful dress or flowers to brighten up your mood, take time out to watch your favorite show, go for a walk and enjoy this time away from work and family, ask for help if you are finding it difficult to manage on your own. You can add anything to this list of self-care as it helps you feel more connected to yourself and even to those around you.
